Hand Splint

Hand Splint

At age 6 my son broke his elbow. The break was bad, mistakes were made and he contracted compartment syndrome. After 13 years of trying hundreds of designs I finally designed something he likes using. I wanted it to look like a functional piece of jewelry.

The last few images are a recent development. He is learning Zbrush and needs to be able to use keyboard shortcuts with his left hand. I designed a modular splint attachment where he can modify the position of certain key combination depending on what he wants to do. It humbled me to design something that a hand can do so easily and effortless.
